MGK Tech works with ICT companies, leasing and operating lease providers, system integrators, financial institutions, insurance companies, data centres, healthcare organisations and other public and private organisations. MGK Tech is also registered on MEPA, the Italian Public Administration electronic marketplace.

Yes. MGK Tech can directly manage IT asset audits, collection, data erasure and hardware value recovery, supporting customers throughout the different stages of the process through to the final destination of the assets.

IT Asset Disposition involves the management of IT assets that have reached the end of their use within an organisation. MGK Tech can manage the different stages of the process through to the definition of the final destination and the potential economic value recovery of the assets.

The customer can provide a list of the devices to be managed and, where available, information about their configuration and condition.

The activities can include inventory, equipment handling, pallet preparation, collection and transport of the devices.

MGK Tech can handle the main types of IT devices used in corporate and office environments.

Assets undergo an internal audit at the MGK Tech facility, are identified by serial number, recorded in an inventory and classified according to their grading.

The assessment also identifies any missing or non-functioning components.

The assessment considers the overall configuration of the asset, hardware performance and the cosmetic condition of the device.

Yes. One of MGK Tech’s activities is to recover, where possible, the residual value of used IT assets through assessment and remarketing.

When a device can no longer be recovered, MGK Tech works with authorised partners for WEEE management, maintaining traceability throughout the process and through to the final destination.

The device is booted using dedicated tools and the data erasure standard agreed with the customer is applied.

At the end of the procedure, a PDF report is generated which may include the available identifying information, device and storage media serial numbers and the outcome of the erasure process.

Depending on the storage media and its condition, MGK Tech may use BitRaser, degaussing or physical destruction.

The service can cover hard drives, SSDs, SAS, SATA and NVMe drives, servers, storage systems, smartphones, tablets, memory cards and USB flash drives.

For equipment such as photocopiers, the storage media can be removed and erased separately.

Yes. MGK Tech can perform data erasure directly at the customer’s premises using its own equipment, without requiring access to the corporate IT systems used by the customer.

Yes. At the end of the activity, a data erasure report is produced in PDF format.

The indicative price ranges from €5 to €10 + VAT per device.

IT Asset Disposition projects are provided on a quotation basis according to the characteristics of the project and the assets involved.

The indicative starting price for onsite IT support is €150 + VAT per day.
