Yes. MGK Tech can directly manage activities including audits, collection, data erasure and hardware value recovery, supporting the customer throughout the different stages of the process through to the final disposition of the assets.

What is IT Asset Disposition (ITAD)?

IT Asset Disposition is the process of managing IT assets that have reached the end of their use within an organisation. MGK Tech can manage the different stages of the process through to final asset disposition and residual-value assessment.

How does corporate PC collection and decommissioning work?

The customer can provide a list of the devices to be managed and, where available, information on their configuration and condition.

Activities can include inventory, handling, pallet preparation, collection and transport of the equipment.

What types of corporate IT equipment can MGK Tech manage?

MGK Tech can handle the main types of IT devices used in corporate and office environments.

How are collected PCs identified and classified?

Assets undergo an internal audit at the MGK Tech laboratory, where they are identified by serial number, recorded and classified according to their grading.

The assessment also identifies any missing or non-functioning components.

How is the residual value of an IT asset determined?

The assessment takes into account the asset’s overall configuration, hardware performance and cosmetic condition.

Can MGK Tech recover value from and remarket used corporate IT hardware?

Yes. One of MGK Tech’s activities is to recover, where possible, the residual value of used IT assets through assessment, value recovery and remarketing.

What happens to IT assets that can no longer be recovered?

When a device can no longer be recovered, MGK Tech works with authorised partners for WEEE management while maintaining traceability of the process and the asset’s final destination.

How does secure corporate data erasure work?

The device is started using dedicated tools and the erasure standard agreed with the customer is applied.

Once the operation has been completed, a PDF report is generated and can include the available identification details, the serial numbers of the device and storage medium, and the outcome of the erasure process.

Which methods does MGK Tech use for secure data erasure?

Depending on the type and condition of the storage medium, BitRaser, degaussing or physical destruction may be used.

Which devices can undergo secure data erasure?

The service can cover hard drives, SSDs, SAS, SATA and NVMe drives, servers, storage systems, smartphones, tablets, memory cards and USB drives.

For equipment such as photocopiers, the storage medium can be removed and erased separately.

Can data erasure be carried out onsite at the customer’s premises?

Yes. MGK Tech can perform data erasure directly at the customer’s premises using its own equipment, without requiring access to the customer’s operational corporate IT systems.

Is a report provided after secure data erasure?

Yes. A data erasure report in PDF format is produced once the activity has been completed.

How much does secure data erasure cost?

The indicative price is between €5 and €10 + VAT per device.

The final cost may vary depending on the characteristics of the project and the storage media to be processed.

How does an IT asset audit work?

An IT asset audit makes it possible to identify and assess IT equipment together with its relevant technical characteristics.

The information collected can include manufacturer, model, serial number, device type and specific hardware details depending on the equipment being assessed.

What information is collected during an IT asset audit?

The inventory can include manufacturer, model, serial number, device type and hardware specifications.

Depending on the equipment, additional information can also be collected, including RAM, number and type of drives, network cards, RAID configurations, device form factor and other technical characteristics.

Can an IT asset audit be carried out across multiple locations?

Yes. MGK Tech can perform audits across multiple locations and can integrate the activities with an existing inventory.

How much does an IT asset audit cost?

IT asset audits are quoted on request. Pricing can be defined according to the location, working day or number of assets involved.

What does a corporate PC rollout project involve?

A PC rollout project can involve replacing existing hardware with new equipment and restoring data to the new workplaces.

Can MGK Tech manage a PC rollout across multiple locations?

Yes. Projects involving multiple locations are organised according to the operational requirements agreed with the customer.

How much does a PC rollout or IMAC project cost?

Pricing is defined per workplace or per project and requires an assessment of the characteristics of the required intervention.

MGK Tech can organise collections and technical interventions throughout Italy, including the islands.

Yes. For ITAD projects, MGK Tech can also operate across Europe, either directly or through local partners.

IT Asset Disposition projects are quoted on request according to the characteristics of the project and the assets involved.

How much does onsite IT support cost?

The indicative price for onsite IT support starts from €150 + VAT per day.

The final cost depends on the service arrangements and activities agreed with the customer.
